Welcome

‘Simplicity is the ultimate form of sophistication’ – Leonardo da Vinci

A lot of planning goes in for this special day which for many marks an achievement, besides a fresh chapter in life. In a good relationship, a couple feels happy to be with each other, respects each other and is able to communicate. It takes a bit of work to retain the perfect chemistry because as individuals we change all the time.

Good relationships are worth fighting for and communication is the key to strong, healthy relationships. But as the cliche goes, men and women are different, and their way of communicating is different too. The Bristol Community Family Trust suggests that by adopting a few changes to one’s communication style, any relationship can be drastically improved.

To make a relationship work, a couple has to focus on sticking together rather than arguing and wasting energy in endless arguments. The BCFT found that couples’ arguments tend to revolve around scoring points, thinking the worst, opting out and putting down. They came up with the mnemonic S-T-O-P, to easily remind couples to avoid conflict triggers. Reducing relationship stress leads to better communication.

Enjoy building positive relationships.
