I Do Bridal Magazine – November 2020 (No. 83)

We can hardly believe our winter issue is here already. So much has happened since we looked forward, to a year of marvellous wedding features and stories. Suddenly, it was even suggested our spring and summer issues may not appear. But that was never going to happen. Weddings are planned way ahead, so couples will always be looking for hints and inspiration.

Many, who postponed their great day, look for information from and about suppliers who can help them. And those who went ahead with their weddings are all too eager to share their experiences and encourage others. We’ve been here all along, to join in with them. So this issue is a celebration of triumph over adversity, as they say.

Proof that, by being flexible and patient about new arrangements, and making every effort to find your special way of confirming one of life’s most important relationships, the show will go on. It is also a tribute to all the venues, caterers, florists, decorators, retailers and organisers who are going so far to make sure their clients have the best wedding possible; to all the families and friends who braved safety measures and were there for the couples, even if many had to miss the actual event, and to the brides’ and grooms’ teams who will have worked very hard as their roles took on a lot of extra responsibility.

Everyone knows how much preparation and heart-searching is involved in a wedding, or they soon find out. These days there is even more at stake. But from what we have learned producing this year’s issues is possible. It’s never too early to start planning. But, if you need to postpone don’t delay too long.

Perhaps, these days, being married seems more important than how you get married. There will be other chances for huge parties and celebrations. So enjoy this special issue, and if you are newly married and would like to share your story in one of our issues, please get in touch with us. And to all couples thinking of ‘tying the knot’ remember: Love will find a way, whenever and however you decide to say I do.
