Welcome to the winter issue of I Do magazine, even though the weather is not that cold yet, we wanted to bring you a winter-inspired edition. Not only because winter is around the corner, but also because what we love about winter weddings is that they kind of look more enchanting! One might not be able to enjoy the outdoors during their wedding day but we are so lucky to have various venues in Malta that offer spectacular indoor locations and let’s be honest winter in Malta is not too harsh on us. Therefore, I am sure you will be able to get a couple of snaps outdoors as well, with the beautiful surroundings of Malta as a backdrop.
For this issue we met with five lovely couples, who shared their respective wedding days with us. You can read their stories of how they met and about their experiences in preparing for their big day starting on page 25, with the wedding of the Minister for Transport and Capital Projects Ian Borg and his charming wife Rachelle Borg.
On the inspirational pages, we have included some interesting winter wedding ideas, including cocktails to keep your guests and yourself warm during a cold winter night. We have also come up with a guide on what to consider when choosing wedding decorations.
Our fashion spread is inspired by a winter wonderland theme and features the most beautiful bride Naomi, accompanied by two lovely flower girls, Sarah and Elysia, and Nathan as the pageboy.
The travel article, about winter honeymoons, is in two sections. One features the amazing city of Prague, which is just lovely to visit during winter and the other is about skiing honeymoons; for a white, magical honeymoon.
Ms Pauline Bondin writes about things to talk about before getting married. I believe it is an important chat every couple should have before they say I do.
We hope you enjoy this winter special edition; it was made with lots of love from all the team here at I Do magazine. Until next time!
Lots of love,
Claire xx
