I Do Bridal Magazine – March 2016 (No. 59)

So, I love you because the entire universe conspired to help me find you

Paulo Coelho

Welcome to the first edition of I Do for 2016! If you’re getting married this year, your wedding preparations are probably already well underway. We hope to bring you some added inspiration or fresh ideas if you’ve just embarked on this journey.

In the past, brides were after recreating royal or celebrity wedding looks straight off the TV or magazine pages. Nowadays, brides have become much more interested in walking down the aisle celebrating their own unique self. Take your time to make your wedding day about who you are as a couple, sharing your passions and desires. Long to short convertible wedding dresses will take you from ceremony chic, to the fun-loving after-party, while soft drapes and bohemian cuts will be all the rage this year.

Our fashion pages give you a mirage of options. Designed by Jesmond Sammut of Yesusdemaris, these exclusive gowns range from a vintage inspired ball gown (with a removable top skirt), to a chiffon dress with hand beaded French lace, an off-the-shoulder silk Mikado gown and a fashion forward trouser ensemble.

Standing or seated receptions? 2016 will see some interesting layouts to make seated weddings less like conference events, all for a more intimate vibe. Dinner weddings will be making way for extravagant brunch weddings but on a smaller budget. As for standing weddings which seem to be more popular in Malta, professionally lit lounge areas complete with multiple seating options will continue to be part of the cocktail and after-party hours.

Have you made yourself a nice cup of tea? Then sit back and take your time to flip through our fashion inspiration and read amazing stories selected just for you.
