I Do Bridal Magazine – March 2013 (No. 44)

Welcome

Don’t ever let anyone… Dull your sparkle

As we approach spring 2013, we at I Do are excited to bring you the best selection of weddings from around the islands. Church weddings remain central as the number of church marriages registered in Malta last year was 1,562, slightly up from the 1,520 registered the year before. Our inspiration this issue comes from free-spirited brides – blissful simplicity and celebrations of real people. These weddings are paired down to the beautiful basics: food, family, and love. But they’re loaded with organic charm.

Lace and light flowing material make the perfect wedding dresses to fit the theme. It is about introducing a pop of colour with wild flowers and rustic decor. Tablecloths made from natural fabrics, as well as metal tubs and rustic woods can all add charm to a venue. Such a theme can take a more feminine and romantic look when combined with bright shades of colour and splashes of white. Lighting, also gives the venue a more romantic feel. Lighted tree branches provide that magical touch, trees can be decorated in net lights, while paper lanterns can also be used to provide a more festive and fun feel to the event. Have a look at our photoshoot packed with wedding inspiration.
